Went for lunch and the owner came and greeted us to show us some of that southern hospitality. I got the special which was a pulled pork plate with a bunch of sides. Absolutely delicious. The cake was the best I've ever had, just amazing.

Good food , full menu. Delicious desserts, good selection of flavors of cake. Great shopping, rooms and rooms of apparel , purses, shoes, jewelry, home decor, Christmas decorations

I was in town visiting family and we stopped in 5 Chefs - my first time. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the decor was spot on - I felt right at home - cozy, yet very tasteful.

Had a great lunch with real home cooked veggies and fried catfish. Of course we had to share a slice of carrot cake.

Such a refreshing meal! The salad with the croissant was all very light and good! I called about 30 minutes before going and the food was ready when I arrived! The lady who was checking me out was also very kind! I loved the hummingbird cake! Such a big slice and very rich!

Food is very good, but desserts are awesome! Their cakes will make you want to break that diet! They're amazing and I don't know if they're homemade, but they definitely taste it! Service was great, very friendly staff. Ambience is really good. Its beautiful in there.

I called two days prior to my mother-in-law's birthday and ordered a hummingbird cake. The day that I was supposed to pick it up I was so busy trying to get ready for our trip that I completely forgot! I called five minutes prior to them closing and the owner answered the phone. I explained to her that I was extremely sorry that I missed my pick up time Would she be available for me to come and get the cake still. She said yes, they were closing up and to come on over. I couldn't believe she actually let me come by when they were closed! So happy that I got to get the cake. Everyone said it was delicious!

I highly recommend. I'm from CA and whenever I go to Portland, I stop by 5 Chefs to have their amazing cakes. I hand carry a slice of my favorite , which is the carrot cake. TSA always takes a look and I rave about 5 Chefs. I speak so highly of 5 Chefs and my bring customers all the time to experience the cakes. Enough about the deserts...I enjoy the friendly environment and southern hospitality, which is rare where I'm from.

This is a quaint, off the beaten path, wonderful restaurant. It would give you the feel if Paula Deen put her flavor in Cracker Barrel. Plenty of shopping experience which also allows time to eye the cakes. I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and fries. I do a lot of eating and really was trying to remember a piece of chicken so tender. And large. I appreciate the fact they didn't just soak the breast in the buffalo sauce. Just the right amount. The fries were perfect - hot and crispy. Our waitress took orders for the four of us and didn't write it down. Didn't miss a thing. I had the strawberry cake but tried the yellow with chocolate and the wedding cake. My goodness. The cake alone is worth the trip. Enjoy!!
